One Health : The Graduate School 1H-EID at the heart of new synergies between Université Paris Cité and ENVA

On May 28, more than 100 researchers from Université Paris Cité and the École nationale vétérinaire d’Alfort (ENVA) gathered for the Microbes and One Health Scientific Symposium.

Co-organized by ENVA, MicrobUP and the Graduate School One Health Emerging Infectious Diseases at Université Paris Cité, this event provided a unique opportunity for both communities to exchange ideas and expertise around the One Health concept through scientific talks and poster presentations. It also highlighted the strong scientific complementarity between our two institutions.

As emphasized in the opening remarks by Anne-Paule Roqueplo, Vice-President for Research, and Mathieu Resche-Rigon, Dean of the Faculty of Health, the One Health approach is more relevant than ever in addressing today’s major global health challenges.

In this context, the upcoming integration of ENVA into Université Paris Cité represents a major opportunity to strengthen scientific interactions and foster new interdisciplinary collaborations among researchers.

It is in this spirit that the Graduate School One Health – Emerging Infectious Diseases presented its commitment to the One Health approach: it trains future public health and biomedical research professionals through an integrated approach to animal, human, and environmental health, in order to better anticipate and respond to the challenges posed by emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases.
