On October 9th the first ever start-of-the-year Welcome Party of the “One Health – Emerging Infectious Diseases” Graduate School took place on the Barge du CROUS.
The party was a wonderfully festive occasion to warmly welcome our 2024 Master’s students and PhD fellows, but also to bring back our cherished alumni from last year.

One major highlight of the evening was the enthusiasm our former students showed in wanting to meet the new class and by the willingness with which they shared their stories, tips and advice. This represents the true hallmark of success of our training program.
A big shoutout also goes to the incoming students and PhD fellows, we hope that the coming academic year will be rich and memorable for all.
The evening was also appreciated by teachers and staff members, who were able to take the time to discuss and exchange with both students and colleagues.
Overall, the event aligned with and enabled the Graduate School’s philosophy of bringing together a community of trainees and trainers that come from a wide array of backgrounds but have a common denominator: a focus on One-Health related subjects and an interest in studying and controling emerging infectious diseases.
