The conference “The One Health Challenges to tackle Infectious Diseases” took place from June 12th to 14th, in Saint-Brieuc, France. 1H-EID was among the official sponsors of the event and was present on site with an information stand, shared with the Graduate School EID@Lyon.
Joint stand: Anvita Bhargava for 1H-EID and Ismaël Shihab El Din for EID@Lyon
This international symposium allowed scientists and professionals across various sectors to meet and discuss about science covering the main One Health challenges that need to be addressed to tackle infectious diseases, in a unique occasion to bring together animal and human health actors and have a global reflection on the transmission of infectious diseases from animals to humans.
This was also an opportunity for the Graduate Schools to assert themselves within this context as institutions of excellence, which provide complete and multidisciplinary One Health-based training in the field of EIDs. Let’s not forget: well-structured research-bases training is key to preparing the planet-health actors of tomorrow. The presence of 1H-EID and EID@Lyon was greatly appreciated and added value to the event.
