The Graduate School of One Health-Emerging Infectious Diseases is committed to training the next generation of researchers in the crucial field of One Health and emerging infectious diseases. Students admitted to the doctoral programme benefit from a wide range of funding opportunities, with thesis scholarships available to support them financially throughout their doctoral studies. These scholarships may cover tuition fees, living expenses, and other research-related expenses.
Additionally, the Graduate School offers end-of-thesis scholarships to assist students in completing their research and thesis writing. These scholarships can be crucial in enabling them to fully focus on finalising their academic work without worrying about financial constraints.
To encourage international mobility and knowledge exchange, the Graduate School also provides short-term funding for international mobility scholarships. These funds enable students to participate in exchange programmes, internships abroad, or research collaborations at other renowned institutions worldwide.
Furthermore, funding is available to support students’ participation in conferences, seminars, and other relevant academic events. This initiative aims to encourage the dissemination of students’ research and foster their integration into the international academic community.

Agriculture Food Biology Environment Health
ABIES – DS 581
The ABIES doctoral school focuses on key areas of agriculture, food, biology, environment, and health. It provides a stimulating research environment, bringing together high-level research teams. Doctoral students benefit from specialised training tailored to their research projects and career ambitions.
The doctoral school also promotes international openness and provides personalised support for the professional integration of its students. ABIES is jointly accredited by several renowned institutions, thus strengthening its academic excellence and interdisciplinary collaboration.

BioSPC – DS 562
The BioSPC doctoral school, resulting from the merger of two renowned schools, offers a wide range of biology fields, with welcoming laboratories for doctoral research. It accompanies doctoral students at every stage of their journey, from recruitment to thesis defense, including team coordination, training, and individual support.
The doctoral school promotes scientific exchanges among doctoral students and offers professional training activities. It also provides practical support for various procedures such as registrations, international mobility, and thesis defenses.
Complexité du Vivant

The Complexité du Vivant doctoral school covers fundamental aspects of biology and promotes integrative research projects in various fields such as genetics, genomics, cell and developmental biology, microbiology, biochemistry, and evolutionary biology.
With over 150 research teams comprising more than 500 researchers and faculty members, the doctoral school provides an environment rich in transdisciplinary collaboration, with renowned institutes such as the Institut Curie, the Institut Pasteur, and the École Normale Supérieure de Paris, as well as sites such as the Institut de Biologie Paris Seine and the Institut de Myologie at the Pitié-Salpétrière.
Médicament Toxicologie, Chimie et Imagerie

The Médicament Toxicologie, Chimie et Imagerie doctoral school provides a dynamic multidisciplinary environment for doctoral students, covering a wide range of fields from chemistry to biology and health. It aims to enhance the skills of students and prepare them to address complex issues related to biomedical and therapeutic research.
With world-renowned research teams, it offers high-level training ranging from living chemistry to bioinformatics, from biomaterials to medical imaging. This multidisciplinary approach is essential for addressing current health challenges, from disease analysis to treatment development and diagnosis. The doctoral school hosts approximately 220 doctoral students, forming a community committed to researching innovative solutions for health.
Pierre Louis of Public health
Epidemiology and Biomedical Information Sciences – DS 393
The Pierre Louis of Public Health focuses its research on epidemiology and biomedical information sciences. In epidemiology, it explores infectious diseases, perinatology, clinical aspects, genetics, social factors, and healthcare services. In biomedical information sciences, it emphasises modeling, biostatistics, bioinformatics, medical informatics, and health economics.
Collaborating with Sorbonne University, Université Paris Cité, IRD, and the Institut Pasteur, it contributes to the excellence of public health research, also being a member of the EHESP doctoral network.
Science des Sociétés
DS 624
The Science des Sociétés doctoral school is the result of the merger of two doctoral schools and is located in two places, at the Sorbonne and on the Paris Rive Gauche campus. It offers a dynamic multidisciplinary environment, bringing together disciplines such as anthropology, architecture, economics, geography, history & civilisations, political philosophy, and sociology.
With approximately 300 doctoral students working in sixteen diverse laboratories, it encourages interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research. The doctoral school is characterised by critical research, integrating social, environmental, and political dimensions. Organised into two departments, it fosters exchanges between researchers and provides a conducive environment for the development of doctoral research activities.
