The Graduate School One Health Emerging Infectious Diseases (1H-EID) is pleased to announce its ongoing webinar series, launched in October 2025.

This initiative brings together researchers from France and around the world to address subjects of global significance. The new webinar theme is Social Sciences Perspectives on One Health and Emerging Infectious Diseases.

Chair: Jules VILLA, Postdoctoral Researcher at the Pasteur Institute | Anthropology and Ecology of Disease Emergence Research Group.

This Social Sciences and Humanities series highlights the contributions of social scientists to both research and practice in addressing One Health and Emerging Infectious Diseases challenges. Social sciences enhance our understanding of local contexts, identify structural drivers of disease, and contribute to designing more effective, inclusive, and ethical outbreak responses.

Invited Speaker: Professor Laëtitia ATLANI-DUAULT, CEPED Research Director | Université Paris Cité | INSERM | IRD.

Title: Quelles mémoires de la pandémie Covid-19 ?

A leading expert in anthropology, Professor Atlani-Duault will explore the role of social sciences in documenting and analyzing pandemic experiences and responses, as well as the implications for future health crisis management.
